*The state of Wyoming allows qualified voters to register on election day, with an acceptable form of ID (Driver’s License, Passport, etc)

ID is not required to cast your ballot. However, qualified voters who are registering on Election Day must show one of the following:

  • Wyoming driver's license
  • A different state's driver's license
  • An ID card issued by a local, state or federal agency
  • A U.S. passport
  • School ID
  • Military ID

You can also show two of the following in any combination:

  • Certification of U.S. citizenship
  • Certificate of naturalization
  • Draft record
  • Voter registration card from another state or county
  • Original or certified copy of a birth certificate bearing an official seal
  • Certification of birth abroad issued by the department of state
  • Any other form of identification issued by an official agency

One of the following forms of ID required which must show a photo and a name that matches the registrar.* If the ID does not also show proof of residence, another ID showing that must be presented:

  • Wisconsin driver's license or Wisconsin non-driver ID
  • U.S. military ID
  • U.S. Passport
  • Certificate of naturalization that is less than two years old
  • Tribal ID card
  • Student ID card with a signature, an issue date, and an expiration date no later than 2 years after the election

*A voter lacking ID may cast a provisional ballot. For the ballot to count, the voter must show ID to the county board of registration by the Friday after the election.
